My mother wanted me to be a lawyer of all things, which amuses me. I am most definitely not a lawyer (though I probably wouldn't mind dating one--any takers?) What I am is a contemplative, curious soul in this cocoon we humans call a body. I'm not sure when I'll emerge from my cocoon but I hope to have accomplished some stuff before I do, such as: maintain my integrity, be a good and loyal friend, be a good fur child mother, collide with and hold on to the love of my life, be a good real mother someday, read many books, publish my beloved plotless wonder, an odd romantic fantasy with Tudor and gothic overtones whose characters seem far too real to me sometimes (is it a bad thing to hear voices that emanate from no visible source? Perhaps an even worse thing to do what these voices tell you?), build and stay in a cabin on Lake Superior, travel to Venice, the British Isles, Japan, New England, and Alaska, and see the northern lights.
